Disaster

These elections are an absolute disaster. Florida has been lost. Rick Scott is governor. Wisconsin is even more insane than we all thought. And Pat Quinn is losing his lead in my state of Illinois.

And obviously, the Senate has gone to the Republicans.

I just heard two brainless creatures at the gym celebrating the Republican win and saying that a third presidential term for Obama will be a disaster. Recipes were exchanged as to how to prevent Obama from becoming president for the third time.

And this is the intellectual caliber of people we are dealing with.

How handy it is, though, to have a revolver to shoot onself in the foot. Although I always prefer happier clowns to those that are sad.

  2. Cuomo has been reelected. 😦 However, I have heard that teachers are beginning to band together to stop teaching Common Core. Some of them, anyway. Especially in elementary schools, where Common Core standards are completely inappropriate. It feels deliciously rebellious.

  3. Yes… You should tell them to start a campaign for an amendment to the constitution that limits a president to two terms. It should keep them busy for a while.

Perhaps they just don’t know due to their lack of education or more likely lack of information – the “low information voters” that pollsters like to talk about. One example is that during the Ferguson riots a school board in some back woods hamlet by the name of Evansville, Illinois decided to ban discussion of the events.

“Subject: Discussion of the Ferguson/Florissant Incident

On Friday, August 15, 2014, and Monday, August 18, 2014, Dennis Cramsey, EHS Principal, and I were inundated with calls from parents complaining that some EHS teachers were biased and injecting their own opinion regarding the shooting of Michael Brown, an 18 year-old African American student, by a Caucasian police officer in the Ferguson/Florissant community. The general consensus of parents who called was that if the administration did not get a handle on this situation, there might be violence among students occurring at EHS.

As Superintendent, I will take full responsibility for not preparing administrators and staff members how to deal with this volatile situation. As a result, on Monday afternoon, the decision was made to cease discussion of the event because of the tension, emotion, and anger surrounding the Ferguson/Florissant events.”

  5. There are many people in every western country who just don’t understand how economy works. They think they don’t have to do anything just wait for the nanny state to pay for their unreasonable, bloated needs. The whole West is lost, this narcissistic attitude won’t work in the long term.

    1. In the US, the nanny state wants to control our every breath but refuses to accompany the control with cash handouts. So we are even more screwed than that. 🙂
