A second place for the talentless Russian singer?
Pathetic suck ups. It is absolutely ridiculous that Russia was even allowed to participate. Now, of course, Putinoid propaganda is making a huge meal of it, saying that this means Europeans support Russia.
I’m very disgusted with stupid Europeans. These people have no historical memory, no self-respect, no principles. They deserve everything they get after kissing Putin’s ass this way.
Pretty fucking ridiculous Russia got to that place with a song about “equality”, too. Hypocrites.

One can see the number of points awarded to Russia by every country here:

It’s a 50/50 split between the popular vote and the jury vote, isn’t it? I’m quite curious what the difference between popular vote and jury vote Russia-wise was, to be honest.

Yes, that would be interesting to know.

Isn’t it all in the wiki entry I linked here?

Apparently the wiki pages for each country’s 2015 Eurovision presence will show the relative numbers, if not actual numbers of votes, but most of them don’t have the data filled in yet.

I don’t watch Fox News.
Russia invaded a peaceful neighboring country, persecutes gays, tramples women’s rights, promotes intense religious fanaticism. Please enter “Russia” and “Ukraine” into the search box on this blog and read up on it.
And for Pete’s sakes, stop using Fox News as your only news source. It gives you a,really skewed, limited perspective.

All true of course, but what’s that got to do with the Eurovision Song Contest? You could say the same, or worse, about many States (Ok for sexism Russia is really bad). The idea of the songs, for what it’s worth, is to bypass squalid nationalism. Btw I’ve never seen Fox news!

Right now, the fact that the Russian singer cane second at the Eurovision is being used by Putinoid propaganda to suggest that this means Europe supports the invasion of Ukraine.
Actions have consequences, and this one was really easy to predict.

Well any reaction, up to and including thousands of people waving Russia out of Ukraine! signs and singing the Ukrainian national anthem would be reworked in the Russian media to tell people that Europeans support Putin’s invasion.
