A Cake Controversy

Cakes continue causing major drama. This teddy bear that was featured on a cake, for instance, has found itself in the midst of great controversy:

The woman who bought the cake was very upset:

“It is completely inappropriate. The cake is supposed to be for a three-year-old girl.

“It is not just me who thought this, it was a talking point at the christening — everyone was commenting on it.”

Can you guess why the cake angered people so much? See if you guessed right under the fold!

Sharon Green says she was horrified when she picked up the cake from Occasion Cakes for her three-year-old daughter Tahlia Rose’s christening and saw that it had a “crease” that makes the teddy look like it has female genitals. . . When she took it back to the shop, an assistant gave her some flowers to preserve the teddy’s modesty, but Mrs Green was not able to stick them down.

  1. \ The spokesman said: “The small bear on top of the cake is exactly that — a teddy bear — and the crease on its stomach is supposed to represent the seam where the bear is sewn together.

To be fair to the woman, (the crease on) the stomach is supposed to be higher.

Also, her guests’ reactions – “kept moving the flowers and poking fun at the cake” – made her even more uncomfortable. May be, if she tried to minimize the situation, at first hid the cake somewhere and then hastened to cut it, everybody woul’ve felt better.

      • Birds of a feather flock together. 🙂 It’s not surprising that her group of friends is as sex-deprived as she is. I understand she’s at an age when women see genitals everywhere they look but this is really taking it too far.

  2. Honestly, if the guests and the lady didn’t keep freaking out, none of the children would have thought anything of it.

  3. Now this makes me think of one of the funniest lines from Game of Thrones:

“I know you never fooked a bear, you know you never fooked a bear, right now I don’t want to think about the bear you never fooked!”

Which implies of course, that she wouldn’t mind thinking about a bear that he did fook.
