The Right Way to Eat a Tomato

Why is it that a tomato tastes so much better when you eat it whole, like an apple, without cutting it up?

  1. Mmmm, yes, especially fresh off the plant, warm from the sun and with a spurt of juice trickling down your chin 🙂 nips outside to see if there are any ripe yet

  2. Entirely off-topic, but I’d like to thank you for the example you’ve been setting, Clarissa. When I found this blog 3 years ago, I was suicidally depressed, had a disastrously enmeshed relationship with my parents and was stuck in the middle of an undergrad degree I couldn’t even contemplate finishing. Today, I’m deeply happy, have a far more adult relationship with my parents, am doing a master’s degree I quite like and have just been accepted for the first job of my life – a deeply wanted one that’s precisely in my field, too. Thank you for encouraging me to get off my ass and fix my life.

    1. CONGRATULATIONS!!! On the job and on finding your way out the dark place. I’m so, so so very happy for you.

I’m in tears now. 🙂 This is a very good tomato. 🙂
