Watches Are Back!

Checking the time on one’s smartphone is falling out of style. Just like people are moving away from digital books and back to the real thing, they are also going back to real wrist watches.

Here is my new watch that came in a set with the bracelets:

I remember to put the watch on every day but now the goal is to remember to look at it when I need to know the time. After years of reaching for the phone to see the time, it will take time to learn to consult the watch once again.

    1. It’s a sapphire with white amethysts. But I swear I chose it before everybody started mentioning that it’s like Diana’s! My dream ring turned out very unoriginal.

  1. Very pretty, love it! But watches are back..? Err, I never noticed when they were out, I must be even older than I thought. Oh dear.

  2. “Kinky?” You must be hanging out with the very young. Sugs is right, it is a generational thing. Mid-forties and up, everyone I know, beginning with me, who’s nearly twice that age — and including those with plenty of gravitas — has always worn a watch. I even sleep with mine. I do have a cell phone, but it never occurs to me to pull it out to look at the time. So there! :-)))

  3. I stopped wearing a watch when I had to deal with the possibility of the watch making it difficult for me to pull my hand out of a confined space.

Now I let people carry the time for me …

After all, I do have people for that. 🙂
