The Pope condemned the countries that are making it hard for Cuban refugees to reach the US. If only he were as interested in condemning the Castro regime that is making Cubans want to run away from their country.

The current surge in Cuban refugees is occurring because the fleeing Cubans are afraid that a consequence of Obama’s embrace of the Castro brothers will be the end of special refugee status for Cubans who reach U.S. soil.
Their fears may be well founded.
