The real danger of nominating Hillary is that many passionate Leftists feel such a rabid hatred towards women that they will easily convince themselves that Trump or Cruz are a lot more Liberal than Hillary. And their passionate dislike of immigrants will help.
Actually, they have already started making the “Trump is so progressive” argument.
Some of Trump’s views are more liberal than Hillary’s (his views on free trade, for example), and he’s obviously lying about some of his other liberal views (like the fact that he’s pro-abortion rights).
But that doesn’t change the fact that he’s a unscrupulous, undisciplined sociopath whose election would be an absolute disaster for this country.

I encountered a Bernie/Trump supporter last week. His main concern is to get someone who is not part of the current system. Bernie is his first choice, Trump is his second.
