In vaguely related news… Eurovision!
The second semi-final was last night and Ukraine made to the final!
The song drew a good slot at 21, after the favorites.
Bad news: Russia is the favorite to win with an over-inflated piece of pop nothing (there always seem to be a few of those in the top 5). I actually like some Russian popular music but their Eurovision picks are always terrible.

Yay for Ukraine! Although I believe Ukrainians are investing the song and the contest with too much meaning.
I haven’t heard the Russian pick yet.
