Yes. I just texted this guy I’ve been chatting with and told him to turn off his ringer. I hope he’s safe. Everytime there’s a shooting I check to see if anyone I know could be there. Maybe it’s neurotic, but if we’re even slightly friendly and I have your number I do this.

    Well, I heard from the guy. He’s alive and well but since he’s doing an engineering Ph.D., the shooting happened in his work space. He has friends from his department staying over at his place because they are freaked out.
