As a feminist, I find it outrageous that a man bullies a woman half his size on TV and this is considered news. I also find it deplorable that Cooper uses somebody else’s tragedy to preen and self-congratulate.

I don’t remember the details because it’s not where I live and I can’t follow and remember everything, but Florida’s AG does have a reputation for being very anti-GLBT. Why Mr. Cooper pussy-footed around like that and did not use stronger examples, I couldn’t say; this video is the longest I’ve ever watched him.
I think it is possible to dislike the approach he took without claiming any sympathy for Pam Bondi.

At this point in time, it seems bizarre to discuss the anti-LGBT feelings of anybody but the fellow who left 49 corpses of gay people in the wake of his night out on the town. From the video, it is clear that she is doing her job of ensuring that victims and their relatives get reunited.

Meh. I didn’t see bullying in that clip. I saw two people who are mostly insulated from the effects of the politics of the identities they claim posturing on tv, each believing in their own complete and total sincerity of motives.

Well, it certainly isn’t good journalism, because Cooper wastes over five minutes of airtime breaking a major rule of Journalism 101: Don’t ask the person you’re interviewing the same question more than three times (because by then it’s obvious that the person isn’t going to give you the answer you want, so move on).

Although the tweeting part was preposterous, Cooper is certainly a piece a trash but not in this case: he did a great job a this homophobic bitch deserved that kind of treatment.
