Right now Hillary is marching in the NYC Pride Parade. It’s so beautiful I get goosebumps. The gay rights movement has achieved so much.

…and gone so corporate. One of my correspondents in SF said of that parade just now:
“After Salesforce, Genentech, Apple and Lyft, I had to leave. It’s just a parade of corporate sponsors. People marching in their corporate tshirts, blech. They didn’t even spend the energy to make a cool queer float. Corporate logos as far as the eye could see.”
And huge police presence apparently scared off the queers of color. This also in SF.

And now that the battle has been won, people should absolutely turn their noses at the parade for all sorts of infantile reasons. That’s a fantastic sign.

Today’s gay rights parade didn’t turn out so well in Turkey (which probably won’t be allowed into the EU, now that its biggest sponsor [the UK] has bowed out).
