I hope Hillary’s mental health plan is put into practice asap because the practice of turning small children into neurotics for the benefit of the chewing masses in need of entertainment is gaining popularity. And since there is no Child Protective Services to speak of, psychiatrists will be in increasing demand.

I’d guess that the more the child is surrounded by accepting adults, the greater the chances are he’ll do just fine (and/or have problems that have nothing to do with who his parents are). Kids are amazingly adaptable, especially when they have a loving family and supportive environment, and it sounds like this one does.

I see no loving family and no supportive surroundings. This poor kid is an accessory for selfish, narcissistic adults who want attention, no matter what the cost to the kid. Gosh, if even in such early infancy the poor kid can’t be a priority for self-absorbed Mamma, I don’t want to imagine what comes next.

And I also don’t like the line about how “kids are adaptable.” It makes more sense for am adult to adapt to the needs of a baby than for a baby to adapt to the needs of a self-involved adult.

I wonder how long it will be before the language scolds start posting irate comments on any article that mentions “pregnant women” or “breastfeeding women”, demanding that the author add “…or men.”
