When this photo of Putin’s meeting with the students of a prestigious British public school surfaced, Putin flipped and started demanding that the photo be taken down. There was nothing secret about the meeting but it’s clear from the photo that Putin is not tall. And the poor fellow can’t tolerate any public reminders of his height.
The idiot has no idea that the only person making a big deal out of his height is himself. Nobody in the world would have noticed this photo had Putin himself not made a huge scandal about it.

Various Internet sources list Putin as 5’7″. From pictures of him standing next to 6’0″ George W. Bush, that sounds about right.
If Putin were 5’2″, Medvedev would meet the criteria for midget.

I think he has no right to complain, as he is still taller than I am. :p I’m under five feet.
I was going to say he has some tall shoes to fill (pun definitely intended), but it looks like Lenin, Stalin, and Khrushchev were similarly short. :p Maybe he aspires to be more like Sancho the Strong (in terms of height, at least). If I were him, I’d put on a pair of stilts that made me seem like I was 7’3″, not a puny pair of heels. Stilts are much more fun. 😀

Why do you think he chose Medvedev and is so faithful to him in spite of Medvedev’s penchant to behave like an ass in public? His diminutive stature is Medvedev’s greatest asset. Putin doesn’t fear appearing standing next to him.
