A Strange Ailment

I was in so much pain during all 3 of my classes today that I could barely stand. The pain originates in the left side of my waist and it’s very intense.

But here is the bizarre part. When I’m not teaching, I’m not in pain. This is too bizarre. I honestly don’t get it.

  1. It’s a good thing you aren’t running for President… 🙂

If the pain only occurs when you’re teaching, how you considered that it might be a result of your standing / sitting in a more-or-less fixed posture for a prolonged period during class?

  2. There are several possibilities depending on the nature of the pain. It could have to do with posture or something as simple as choice of shoes. Or it could be onset of some sort of infection. You might want to see your doctor.

  3. It may also be your shoes? If you change shoes when you get home (wear slippers, go barefoot etc.), your “work shoes” may be causing you discomfort once you have been on your feet for a while (i.e. as when you teach….)
