That connection isn’t clear to me. Trumps businesses are hardly the supranational corporation powerful enough to take on the role of a whole government. Perhaps it will become so over the course of his presidency…

Give it a chance, he hasn’t even been inaugurated yet. But once he is, we will see all policy, especially foreign, conducted according to the principle of what is good for the company.
Domestic policy is already conducted in this way, so that won’t be a big change. The only difference is that now it will be about a single company and not a dozen.
