Very true. I was confused when I was first asked over for coffee in North America and was served a cup of coffee, wartime style. And that was all. I kept waiting but nothing else materialized.

Ha, it’s the same thing at my home. Not an elaborate spread like this, but we have at least four or five different snacks with our evening tea. More if someone visits.
I’ve completely lost that tradition here in the US. Don’t keep anything around.

Same here. I’d be a horrible Ukrainian hostess if people dropped in for tea. I have a huge selection of toddler snacks, though. 🙂
