This Michael Pollan fellow is like the guru of smug, self-involved consumerism. No wonder he’s so popular.

Peterson has his faults but those that like him are trying to find meaning in their lives, Pollan just seems to be about drugging your consciousness away so that the emptiness of consumerism doesn’t bother you.
If those are the ‘winners’ then I’m joining the ‘losers’.
