I have a new client in South Korea. The job is to translate religious poetry from English into Ukrainian. I have discovered that I have a knack for translating poetry, which I never suspected would be something I could enjoy.

Yes, poetry translation is very creative. You basically have to create a completely new poem in the target language and ensure it has the same “soul” (also tone, meter etc.) as the original. Much harder than translating prose, but definitely a very creative and hopefully satisfying endeavor. Enjoy!
