Why are people saying that Twitter has lost its advertisers? I have ads from Amazon, Samsung, Nintendo, Dr Pepper, Walmart, etc in my feed. If anything, I’d say I’m getting more ads than ever.
Twitter has a better ad algorithm than YouTube which always shows me ads for the exact things I purchased the day before. I wonder if ad buyers are aware that YouTube wastes their money on reaching out to those who already made a purchase.
Back when I was on Facebook they did the same thing — showing me ads for whatever I’d just ordered online. I could never figure out what they intended to accomplish with that.

For me, what that accomplished was making me install ALL the adblockers. It was also part of the impetus to ditch FB. So yay! It was a noticeable quality-of-life upgrade.

Agreed. Life is better without FB.

I have yet to see any ads in my Twitter feed, and over the last couple of weeks, the “hot lonely girls in uncomfortable underwear” posts in the feed have dropped to zero. Significant improvement.

…but I also have multiple adblockers in my browser, so maybe those are just doing their job?
