I grew up in communism, too. My children, however, grew up in UK and France and are convinced that socialism is a great thing because people need to “share” and some need to be “looked after” and that is social justice. I try to explain that all that should be done directly and by consent and not through the intermediary of a very large, cumbersome state which creames off about 70% of what is given. I worked hard for everything and it should be up to me if I want to “share” the little I have with criminals or women who chose to have children on welfare. Most rich people also worked hard for their money, or their parents did. I have no problem with that. Wealth is not some large cake whereby if some have more, other would have less. It is being created all the time by human activity. It was proven time and time again that everybody gets worse off (especially the poor) when we try to inflict “equality of outcome” on any society.

Серед неймовірних звершень Бахмут – це як наш Верден. ˑ Джаз під Харковом, в Херсоні, Джаз на Кримському мосту. Атональний, не в каноні, Джаз за неба чистоту. ˑ Нами ззовні тут керують, Нехтуючи кожен раз Тими, хто в крові гарують, Грають свій веселий джаз. ˑ Як були би перегони, Ми були би на коні, А коли ми – у загоні, То гарцюємо в лайні. ˑ Війни нас не вчать нічому, Ми бо вперті – не гнучкі. Хоч і відчуваєм втому, Ми до змін не беручкі. ˑ Маєм знов в руїні жити, Бо плекали простоту. Чим, крім крові, нам платити? Вибачте за прямоту. ˑ Неможливо голу жопу Розтягти на всі фронти. Йдемо в НАТО і в Європу, Але це – одні понти. ˑ Хоч на вражі амбразури Не женемо “м’яса” хвиль, Ми імпровізуєм бздури І без натівських зусиль. ˑ Гру свою ніхто зіграти Нам не зможе помогти. Не дадуть нам всім програти, Не дадуть перемогти. ˑ Якщо всі такі хитрющі, Кожен грає свою гру, Будем всіх спонтанно плющить – Хаос хай служить добру. ˑ Нам не варто помирати, Бо тепер прийшов наш час Стратегічно переграти. Perhaps they should introduce ration cards that they knew in Poland for this child (something tells me said child is not independent)…
for those who need it: mięso = meat; woł. ciel. z kością = beef or veal with bone; masło = butter
and…. for the cards to work you had to be able to find it which was far from assured… (and technically you were supposed to register with a single store which made things even tougher).
Same in Romania, people were starving in a country where food had been abundant even during the war. Capitalism produced wealth for everyone. These days, the uneducated “cool kids” confuse corporatism with capitalism. The local baker and the small organic farmer, AirBnB and Low Cost are also capitalist. The would disappear in communism; once the state finished taking from “the rich”, they will take from the poor.The little people could not afford to travel during the times of state-owned airlines. How easy all this was forgotten.
