Same here. I sincerely believed that people were so racist that they left the cities because they couldn’t stand to live near black people.
I have an excuse, though. I’m an immigrant. If Americans tell me they are like that, why should I disbelieve them? I heard this all the time, repeated like a mantra, with no other explanation offered. Why was I supposed to doubt it?
With the number of immigrants coming in, any person who can explain things beyond the ruling narrative is worth their weight in gold. We can’t turn our noses at anyone because the things that a newcomer gets told are very tendentious, and people believe them because there’s no alternative narrative anywhere.

Heh. This is like the dopes who are always whining that parents pulling their kids out of schools to homeschool them are hurting the school system. Like, we are causing low-performing schools because we’re taking our smart, well-behaved kids out.

On another online outlet an earnest liberal didn’t like the idea that North Africans commit about 5 times as much crime as the native Dutch do in the Netherlands (according to a recent big government report).
The alternate “explanation” was that immigrants had lifted the Dutch out of poverty but were prevented from taking part in the wealth and reducde to a lumpen proletariat role and their poverty was to blame for the crimes they commit.
Same person steadily repeats that “poverty” caused the mass sexual exploitation in Rotherham…

Checks to-do list… yep, still gotta get out there and commit some crime. White women are really underrepresented among violent felons, so it’s my personal responsibility to go do some armed robbery of liquor stores for the cause of equality.
