Voicemail Annoyance

What kind of absolute savages with outdated brains call people on their work phone and leave messages? Everybody half normal sends emails.

I especially love it when a person who wants a favor from me leaves a message to call them back on some stupid phone number. Normally, I wouldn’t know about these voicemail messages because I haven’t listened to one in over 15 years but my IT dude installed an app that translates voice messages into emails and inflicts them on my notice.

  1. I have not listened to VM on my office phone ever in more than twenty years at my university. Main reason: I have a shared office, and anyone clueless enough to think a VM is the best way to reach only me does not get a response.

    1. I lobbied to get rid of the phones but was told that we need them in case of an active shooter. Nobody explained how this crap helps fend off active shooters.

  2. Do business with people behind a Regime Firewall sometime …

They call leaving voicemail because it’s more reliable than getting a mail message through the Regime Firewall.

Answer your voicemail, stop being a special snowflake, those people trapped within The Regime need you! :-)
