Speaking of conspiracy theories, did you see that the pro-Meghan Markle crowd (yes, they exist; no, I don’t get it either) are trying to get William removed as the future King by spreading rumors that he did something to his wife?
This is better than spying vaccine cheese.

Old news…. word has long been that the whole Mexit thing was about her realization of the realities of a monarchy (you don’t get promoted on the basis of performance… it’s not really a meritocracy).
And also lots of info on Harry thinking he should be king….
I don’t necessarily put much faith in such rumors but very persistent rumors often are… not completely bogus.
It is very weird that the four senior royals are all out of commission at present…. who’s left?

Well one theory (not mine, really) is that there’s a coven of witches working against them (not sure if MM is a member, leader or contractor).

Aw, that’s not even trying very hard. There’s *definitely* a coven of witches (maybe more than one!) cursing just about any controversial public figure at any given time. They’re not attracted to joining covens because they’re mentally healthy people you know.
Anyone’s guess whether they can actually affect their targets’ health long-distance like that, though. I’d reckon if you’re the king of England, you’ve got at least as many devout churchladies praying for you every day and it cancels out.

But those who want to blame every hangnail or fart in public on the vaccine are also convinced that none of the elites were actually vaccinated… Of course old conspiracy hands are past masters at managing cognitive dissonance but it is something to note.

Aye. Perhaps it is a quantum problem. Until it can be observed (and it can’t be!) that they either received or didn’t receive the real vaccine, then they are *both* vaccinated *and* unvaccinated!

Why has Russia stationed troops and built military bases on the Syrian-Golan border? Israel plans to break off all diplomatic relations with the United Nations. The days of UN Peace-Keeping troops stationed on hot borders-over. Russia & Israel share diplomatic relations just as does Egypt & Israel. Egypt has placed a Division of troops and tanks on the border with Rafah. International relations conducted through diplomacy.
Far preferable to the farce of UN GA condemnations of Israel. Both Russia and Egypt do not desire the current Oct 7th Abomination War between Israel and the Hamas government of Gaza to expand, and include threats to the continued existence of the international status-quo borders, established by previous general-wars.
At the Camp David Peace Accords Sadat validated Gaza under the “serenity” of Israel. Russia does not recognize the Israeli nationalization of the Golan. However to change the status of disputed borders, of either Gaza or the Golan Heights, involves the explosion of a far bigger war. Another general war carries HUGE risks for both the winners & the losers of such an expanded war for both Egypt, Syria & Israel.
The Abraham Accords has destroyed the European post June ’67 War to impose a divide and conquer 2-State ‘Final’ Solution upon the Jewish people of Israel. The failure of the UN to recognize only Israel as a member-state of its own region, together with the UN Security Council 242 abomination, the primary reasons coupled with the UN aid & support of Hamas terrorism on Oct 7th coupled with the blood libel slander of Genocide in Gaza — crossed the Red-Line.

Was just listening to a program about that while getting ready to work and a bunch of wild ideas are floating around
They start with William having an affair (more or less confirmed and like father like son – his side squeeze has a decidely…. equine appearance)
then the ideas begin ramping up with Kate maybe having an affair of her own and then a bunch of really wild ideas regarding possible hit jobs, inconvenient pregnancies, forced abortions, domestic abuse, deaths etc… of course half of them contradict the other half though there are…. threads that run through that might have a bit of truth to them (and well-attested in the British royals, other royal families in the near and far past).
Royal families do tend to be quite depraved…. anyone remember when a Nepalese Crown Prince killed (9!) members of his own family including the King and Queen (his parents)……….. in 2001!?

I’m not so sure about that…. once you take away the yachts and trust funds and met balls…. they act a lot like trailer trash (you find the purest human behavior, in its less savory forms, at the top and bottom where for different reasons the constraints that bind the rest of us are removed.

In the case of the British Royal Family its the longest running most successful reality show (multi-media) going.
In the right contexts a royal family can be a valuable asset to a country, living symbols of the nation state.
A tightly controlled personality for whom duty to nation was an important value (like the late Queen) are needed for that (or an overall lower global profile like Denmark or the Netherlands).
The current crew in the UK seems to be lacking in ER’s iron resolve and so things are falling apart in pretty predictable ways that would not be out of place in Bucky’s Mobile Home Park.
