For today’s event in my book tour that has an audience of over 100 people, I showed up in the same very original and noticeable blouse that I wore in my book trailer. The trailer was shown at the beginning of the event, and I’m sure now everybody is wondering why I never change my clothing.
This is embarrassing.
The next stop in the book tour is on Thursday, and I hope to God I don’t brain-glitch myself into an identical outfit again.
Find a friend who wears the same size you do and ask to borrow an outfit just for the day. 🙂

I heard about people who need to do a lot of public appearances using a clothing rental service.

I have clothes! I’m not lacking or deprived. I also have a strangely organized brain that associates “Ukraine” with this one blouse and will send me towards it obsessively.

You could tag the outfit you are trying to avoid, with a big no on it, or identifying the last public event you used it for.

That’s an excellent idea, actually. Klara will be mega happy to draw the NO signs.

Nah. Call it “brand consistency.” Own it, love it, lean in to it!
