Harris’s Pivot

Here’s the thing. I believe in changing one’s mind. God knows, I’ve changed mine pretty dramatically and will continue to do so. I do not, however, trust that Harris’s pivot is sincere. It looks very much like an electoral strategy that will be discarded once the goal of getting elected is achieved.

A real change of mind is slow and painful. It’s triggered by something other than a need to get elected. People who can pivot on the drip of a hat when a presidential nomination looms are hardly sincere. They’ll say anything to get elected and then forget all about their promises the moment you vote for them.

“Yes, but Trump lies, too!” He does, and that’s why I’m not voting for him, thank you.

Political partisanship is a mental defect. If you can’t see your candidate or party in a clear-eyed way, you’ll be had over and over again.

  1. The thing is, nobody knows what she stands for. This is someone who’s had a multi-decade political career without having much of a position on anything. And this is why she failed so miserably in the primaries in the past. She simply cannot answer questions or outline any coherent position in the debates. A political dud if there ever was one.

Fortunately for her, she won’t have to undergo a grueling 18 month primary season where a lightweight like her would’ve surely been found out. She just has to hide for 90 more days, receive wall-to-wall positive media coverage and fake tiktok views, and suddenly she starts to look competitive.

And we still haven’t been told why Biden’s not running. A healthy man of sound mind, totally capable of running the country, but not interested in running for a second term. Nothing makes sense.

    1. This was engineered in such a heavy-handed way, yet still everybody is duped. Now it’s become clear that Biden was pushed into a late-evening debate where he was certain to bomb on purpose. Then, overnight, the media discovered he was senile. Now it’s clear that they were given the go-ahead.

I’m sure they would have dragged it out some more but then Trump’s assassination attempt happened and the Harris coronation had to be sped up to occupy the headlines.
