The Shake La Cabane FAM-JAM – to be held Sunday, Dec. 8, at La Cabane community centre – advertised $25.83 general admission, but only $15.18 if the attendee was “Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Colour.” The centre also set a different price by which white children were granted free entry. White children under two were free, but for Black and Indigenous children the cut-off was 12 years.
But hey, the Trump effect is real. Even the patient, beaten-down Montrealers found their sad, shriveled balls and protested. There’s hope yet, even for Canada.

Nothing to do with what you call the Trump effect: people in Quebec are often patient and beaten-down, yes, but are quick to complain about that kind of discrimination. The event was cancelled.

OK, I’ll agree that the real Trump effect will be at work when Canadians start laughing at land acknowledgements. 😁

Oh… that will not happen soon. Also, I am pretty sure that land acknowledgement is still popular in many circles in the US…
You may be interested to know that Universities and Colleges in Canada are now encouraged to hire more muslim, Arab, and Palestinian professors. Of course, nobody will be hired, Muslims or not. The only ones opposed to this recommendation are, of course, all the provincial parties in QC, alongside the Bloc Québécois. But that’s probably because people in Quebec are racist and intolerant, you know…
The Conservatives, like with many with Poilievre, are unclear regarding that recommendation.
Also, I find perople in Quebec patient and beaten-down with everything linked to paperwork and administration. Bureaucracy is downright scandalous here, and people look at the situation as some sort of fatality.

Any rational person that has read the Koran and the hadiths has good reason to naturally fear, i.e., not have a phobia, but rather a healthy distrust, of such ignorant hatred.
