This is always a result of neoliberalism. Call it woke, call it a blue giraffe with white dots, it doesn’t matter. That’s what neoliberalism always leads to. We are behind Russia on neoliberalism and can observe what our future will look like if we don’t stop careening towards it.

I think you’ve been warning people about this for some time, but so many seem to be infatuated with this idea of Russia as the repository of all good old-fashioned values.

I think it’d help if, like the Bee just did with “right” influencers taking money to shill for soda companies, we could have a nice, thorough expose of where that propaganda is coming from, who all is repeating it, and the fact that they are getting paid to do so.

People seem genuinely stunned when one offers them the shocking Russian numbers on abortion, illegitimacy and teenage drug overdoses. The numbers are higher than among African Americans.
