The Same Scenario

The local public high school spent $7,000,000 on remodeling the bathrooms into gender neutral. This means that teenage boys and girls will use the same bathrooms in order to be inclusive.

Now the school is in a budget hole and will start firing teachers. Some people are trying to organize an opposition to this plan but half of the community is repeating moronically that this is somehow caused by Trump. Obviously, the school isn’t funded federally. Obviously, the toilet remodel could not be afforded and was a disaster on every level. Obviously, this is the repeat of my university’s trajectory where an expensive rebranding campaign was purchased and now the university can’t afford to employ professors.

Just as obviously, it’s impossible to get people to notice how this works.

  1. “$7,000,000 on remodeling the bathrooms”

How? How does remodeling bathrooms cost 7 million? Are they using marble crappers? Solid gold door handles?

    How many bathrooms were there?

I have the horrible feeling that somehow HGTV was behind this…

    1. $7M isn’t the cost of materials + labor. It is the money required to maintain a patronage network at the taxpayer’s expense, which the left is unbelievably good at.

This is the design firm that was hired for the project telling you how proud they are of their creation.

      1. It always sounds like these people are mocking us. Sombrita that provides no shade. A toilet that was chosen over teachers. My university is building a new, very expensive building for the school of pharmacy. It will stand mostly empty because many of the faculty are gone. We have a huge budget shortfall, student enrollments are dropping off a cliff, people leave the university in droves but we will have a new, expensive, mostly empty building.

We are bringing in a forensic accountant to unravel this mess and see where the money goes. I’ll post updates.

    2. Materials, labor, and the rest divided up into “bonuses” and “fees” that were then used to make payments on the home equity loans of school board members, out of pure and unpolluted generosity?

      1. …the mystery is why nobody demands an audit.

“Trump” here is the magic word that somehow deflects any suspicion of embezzlement: “Hey look at that monster over there!!”

    3. People tried to ask this question when the plan was going through the school board. But a bunch of screamy “equity and inclusion” ladies shouted everybody down.
