Panicky

JD Vance is clearly panicking as his chances for a presidency are being erased:

I don’t like him so I don’t care but it’s funny how the poor dude is jumping up and down like a trained seal in this long and confused tweet.

  1. “POTUS has been amazingly consistent, over 10 years, that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon”

This is some neocon Bush era talking point right there. why should have a say whether a country half way around the world gets a nuclear bomb or not? why does that have to be our business? Let Israel take care of their own shit and keep us out of it.

It’s the WMD Iraq war fiasco all over again.

    1. “They’ve been found in violation of their non-proliferation obligations by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which is hardly a rightwing organization.”

Oh, so now you care about international norms and “obligations”? wow, can’t make this stuff up. Their losing their grip on reality, or expect us to and not see the major hypocrisy here.

    2. This is totally the Iraq WMD story all over again, brought to us by people who swore up and down that they were opposed to military adventures in the Middle East.

Plus, mass deportations are halted before ever beginning, so it all sucks.

      1. Oh, come on, I’m sure you could think of someone from Iran who wasn’t abjectly subservient to Trump and therefore has caused this (a la Vindman). Put your high IQ to work like you have done before.

  2. Based on the track record (Biden, Pelosi, Newsom, Carney), I am deeply distrustful of politicians that claim to be practicing Catholics (Vance included). Not a fan of Barrett either.

      1. It is not because I think the other denominations are better. It is because Biden, Pelosi and their ilk are hypocrites pretending to be devout Catholics. They clearly do not believe what Catholic Church holds to be true and do not live by those principles. It would be more honest for them to leave the Church since they disagree with so many of her teachings. I find such behavior appalling. To me, it is worse than an atheist or a person of a different faith doing the same thing. Vance and Barrett are a somewhat different case, but them being openly Catholic makes me nervous considering the precedent.

      1. at this point when someone in politics/media is described as a “devout Catholic”, I’m just bracing myself for a disaster

  3. “Vance is clearly panicking”

No sympathy. He hitched his wagon to the crazy train so he has no grounds to be complaining about the itinerary.

Trump was better than Harris (slow horse race) but he has a record. He has no coattails and is not any kind of senior figure who guides and aides, much less a mentor. He has room for only one star and that’s himself.
The life of Trump allies tends to echo the quote of Hobbes: nasty, brutish and short.
