Much of the leftist discourse is simply a dislike for white people:

This slogan is an excellent encapsulation of the ideas that USAID spread around the world. This is why I laugh when I hear the oft-repeated mantra that USAID helped consolidate the “soft power” of the US. All that USAID programs did with a dedication of a crazed woodpecker was rubbish the US, stoke racial grievances, and explain to the recipients of USAID why they needed to detest the givers.
Also, I deeply detest the expressions “the right side of history” and “make the world a better place.” These saccharine clichés betray a lazy mind that is soaked in propaganda.
I’ve found an easy division between right and left is the left think white people shouldn’t live in Africa, and the right think black people shouldn’t live in Europe.

…and they’re all terribly confused about the white people in Latin America?

Yeah, everyone had seen how white Latin Americans score in the DEI game.

At my university, I was told very openly in directly that DEI is only for African Americans. I asked, “what about Latinos?” The answer was, “only African Americans.”
“What about Asians?” I asked.
“What are you not understanding?” the DEI apparatchik answered irritably. “I told you that diverse means African American.”

Is that the new update?
This is like how the LGB used to be about Lesbians, Gays, and Bisexuals. And now those guys are all way too stable and vanilla and not niche enough, so you’re only *real* alphabet people if you’re one of the other increasingly- bizarre Quiche-sexual types. Is there a memo that goes out to keep track of what fetish to cultivate so you can remain in the favored strata of the social hierarchy? It reminds me of the gals who used to study Vogue and Cosmo to keep up with what sunglasses and heels to wear…
Will African-Americans be gauche next year? So far, it seems to be the only trait not subject to liquidity in the progressive imagination. I could dress like a man and insist I’m a real man, but I still can’t do a Rachel Dolezal and be black just because I say so. Does that absoluteness rankle somewhere in the liberal mind, or is it a… what do you call it? Like a myth. Something that is obviously untrue but serves some kind of important metaphorical function. A utile absurdity. Everything’s changeable, negotiable, and impermanent… except being black.

Well, this was all true until last week when the entire leftist establishment decided to die on the hill of Zohran Mamdani being justified in claiming that he’s African American.
African American was sacred and non-negotiable until a trust fund nepo Marxist from elsewhere decided that his litany of entitlements wasn’t complete without stealing that of a black American from somewhere like East St Louis.
So it turns out that there is something that leftists value more than their totem blacks. This is fascinating to observe. I mean, this??? They betrayed their dedication to the plight of African Americans for… this? A rich momma’s boy? A spoiled private school brat? All this BLMing was ultimately about giving a leg up to the fabulously rich?
OK then.

DEI has always been about coopting the elites of underprivileged groups, or what did you think Obama was?

I’ve never thought of Yalies as underprivileged?

Well, that’s easy. Everyone knows Elon Musk is the most famous African American.

If Elon Musk called himself African American, the leftist wailing would reach Mars and probably be strong enough to explode it.

They would just deny his Africaness by deporting him back to Africa.

I do this to myself sometimes and don’t know how to undo it either.
There seems to be some larger philosophical point lurking in there.

It’d simplify things, and do far less damage to the “oppressed” groups they’re hiding behind, if the lefties just came out and admitted that their hierarchy is really just rich people advocating for other rich people, while using alternating special-identity groups (ideally too small to push back or object when they get tossed aside) as human shields to deflect criticism of gross and obvious nepotism and good-ole-boy politics.
the Very Online Right is boiling and bubbling right now with negative commentary about blacks, and no self-awareness at all that they’ve been manipulated into it by the prog left rich people using black Americans as their favorite human shield.
Every successive “minority” group thinks it’s great while they’re getting showered with favors. Not so great when the con stops working, and they get swapped out for another group, and suddenly it’s OK for normal people to despise them for the unearned privilege they enjoyed for a few years. Feminists. The disabled. Gays. Blacks. Trannies. Illegals… who am I leaving out?

The left would prefer that white people didn’t live, period.

Your not wrong. What is infuriating about this is not the non white leftists. It is the white leftists. It is extremely irritating to me that they have been brought to the point where they are openly calling for the death of their own race and people.
I understand suicide is a thing, but what is demon is possessing them to try to bring the rest of us with them in their suicidal stupidity.
