The same people who think it’s ok for men to identify as women are mocking Kash Patel for saying “see you in Valhalla” in his goodbye to Charlie Kirk. I’ve seen some very racist memes on leftist channels.
Seriously, why can’t Patel be inspired by Norse mythology which is the shared patrimony of humanity? Because of his ethnicity? Is that where we are?
You can dislike Patel for any number of reasons but this?
Given that Kirk was a committed Christian, that’s pretty insulting to him and his faith.

Valhalla is a reference to Charlie Kirk dying a warrior’s death, in Norse mythology Valhalla is for warriors who died a hero’s death. Charlie Kirk was a hero and I agree with the sentiment

If we exclude teenagers who watched too much of “Vikings” and limit ourselves to serious people, references to Valhalla are somewhat correlated to right-wing views. At least in Europe, do not know about North America. So Patel’s words (if he even thought about it, maybe he is just an idiot and said the first thing that came to his mind) could be interpreted as specifically “good bye RIGHT WING brother in arms”…
I am using “right-wing” as a descriptor, not a swear word. And I am not going to debate if “right-wing” are actually the same as “normies” or not.

Exactly. Friends have their own thing going, and it makes no sense to parse is racially or ethnically.

I’m Christian, and I found it a tad awkward, but I get it: he’s saluting a man who died a warrior’s death. Assuming Kash is not a Christian, I don’t see the problem. I also don’t tell my polytheist friends not to pray for me. I figure all prayers for my well-being, regardless of how weirdly they’re addressed, get routed to the right place in the main office. Certainly if spiritual evil cannot touch me, because the blood of Jesus protects us, then at a bare minimum there is no harm in it. Anyone who is not against us, is for us 😉
