Soviet Technology

I used this:

Not because I’m old but because that’s what we had in the USSR all the way up to 1991.

Not even a labor saving device… just a different kind of labor because you basically had to be around it the entire time.

The barrel didn’t spin there was a little spinning thing on the bottom that just sort of swished the clothes a bit…

IINM you had to fill it from a hose itself then turn it on then drain it with a different hose (not fast) then fill it again (rinse and repeat) until you’re done….

Here’s a short video of one in action:

    1. That thing would routinely empty all the water on the floor with no particular reason behind this action.

To empty it, the only way up really get all the water put was to lift and flip it physically.

I doubt it, despite appearances, it was plugged in.

Soviet know-how – make an electric device that looks like something people used 50 years before houses had electricity. And people wonder why/how it collapsed.

  2. We are to believe that it is from such devices the Russian military is getting chips to use in their missiles. I didn’t believe that story when I heard it. Now that I see the device I know the story was a hoax.
