Women’s Expenses

I want it known that Eve Jobs, the daughter of Steve Jobs, the most thirsted after woman on Twitter has:

– $1200 hair cut and color (Margot Robbies stylist around this)
– $1500 worth of makeup
– $1000 nails
– $1200 facials/skincare
– $120 eyebrow waxing
– $700 lip filler (done subtly if she has any, most affluent women have)
– $10,000 clothing
-$5-10k health and fitness

After this litany of expenses, I thought the woman had to be sixty years old, at least. Turns out she’s 27. At 27, and honestly when at 47, nobody needs to put in so much money.

This exchange happened in response to a tweet pointing out a regular woman’s beauty costs:

Nails, OK, but everything else, I don’t know. Even my hair doesn’t cost anything close to $350, and I have a lot of it. Clothes, if it’s her entire wardrobe, fine, so I hope it’s not one outfit that the poster means.

It doesn’t cost that much to look pretty unless you are in your sixties and going for a young woman look.

  1. I actually think this much work and makeup is aging. I truly don’t find this girl to be particularly attractive. And I certainly don’t think she looks 27.

    1. She’s a professional model. It’s insane that anyone would expect her to look the way she does without spending any money.

It’s like looking at a picture of a professional athlete and counting all the money he spends on diet, supplements, and training. That’s his job.

      1. Yep.

Just pointing out that ‘pretty’ and ‘hot’ are two different things. You can be pretty if you have a nice face and figure, good taste in clothes, a ready smile, and good hygiene.

Hot generally requires professional hair treatments, drag-queen amounts of makeup, a diet plan, pants that squeeze your buttcheeks *just so*, fifty pairs of uncomfortable shoes and handbags to match, double-sided tape to prevent your boobs falling out of your top…

  2. “Turns out she’s 27”

We don’t talk enough about personas anymore…. if I had to label her persona in this picture it’s “Rich man’s wife”. Not a wife who was with him in his salad days but one that he acquired after acquiring massive wealth.

The meta-message is “‘if you have to ask ‘how much did it cost?’ you can’t afford me.” But at the same time she’s not trying to look p0rnstar hot, but rather country club hot – so she’s signally that she’s just mature and educated enough not to embarrass the man by looking/acting cheap but rather make a stunning accesory on his arm at Gala events.

    “professional model”

Her face is too pretty for runway model (chosen for skeletal frames and faces that are a little…. off, so they don’t distract from the clothes) so I’m assuming more like magazine covergirl model – the type that makes many women think “”that could be me if I just had the resources/were 10 years young”
