We went to Michaels to buy some balloons and got stuck in line at the register behind a group of meth addicts. They had black teeth, their body parts were falling out of skimpy clothing, and they were acting very erratically. One woman was stuffing her face with cotton candy, opening her mouth so wide I was afraid her jaw would pop.
“Now I understand why you keep saying drugs are terrible,” Klara said when we left.
I feel terrible for these people. The way the women looked, it was clear that they make the money for their habit by prostituting themselves.

Unfortunately, there’s no avoiding such things any longer. One goes to Michaels to pick up a couple of balloons, and even there one can’t avoid this dysfunction.

Yeah. We have started driving further to go to outlying Walmart/grocery/parks/other locations with the kids, for that reason. It’s worth a few extra miles.
