Anyway, as a German, I am no stranger to people expressing this and it can get really annoying sometimes.
People who feel historical guilt for what their ancestors did usually also strongly feel that everyone else who shares the very same ancestry is also required to feel and express the same amount of guilt. And the most annoying part of it is when it forces you to add some kind of disclaimer to whatever you want to say, because otherwise people dripping with guilt will derail you.
