Old Spaghetti

How weird is it that a restaurant should be called “Old Spaghetti Factory”? I see “old spaghetti” and I feel like avoiding it at all costs.

Spaghetti probably get more disgusting than any other food when it’s old. If anything should be eaten immediately, it’s spaghetti.

    1. I eat spaghetti but very rarely. Maybe once every 3-4 months. I’m a potato person. πŸ™‚ Or I make this great fragrant rice with spices. We also eat a lot of buckwheat.

      1. I love any kind of pasta and if I don’t watch it will have it instead of potatoes or rice. almost exclusively. Spaghetti with garlic sauteed in olive oil and fresh grated parmesan? Heaven.

My second favorite starch is corn, anything with corn – tortillas, grits, polenta, maize meal, I’ve lately been experimenting with homemade arepas and cachapas but it’s slow going I’m still trying to make sure that the former isn’t a little round brick and the latter doesn’t end up as a pile of fried goo….

I love buckwheat too but only roasted.

  1. There’s an Old Spaghetti Factory in downtown Victoria, and it’s the eternal pain of people who work in the downtown harbour area, because it has terrible food but there are few other options for a lunch. But there is also a really cute new-ish Senegalese place four doors down which has delicious food, so not all hope is lost!
