The commentator says, “This must be disappointing from the Argentinean point of view.”

Who else’s point of view is there? The whole world is rooting for Argentina!

      1. Merkel, after her betrayals, can hardly be considered German. Traitors have no nationality, they only have a traitor’s brand.

I rooted for Germany back in 1970 :), when nobody even suspected that people like Merkel and Putin would appear and bring those two countries to shame again.

NB: I saw Putin and Lavrov among the honorary guests today. So I would also say ‘Shame to FIFA’.

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has condemned a series of Nazi and Holocaust references flooding social media in response to Germany’s 7-1 victory over Brazil …

According to news reports, on July 7 some 14,000 tweets referring to the match included the word “Nazi” or “Nazis.” That number quadrupled on the day of the game to more than 95,000 “Nazi” references.

After the match, a Malaysian member of parliament tweeted, “Well done…bravo… LONG LIVE HITLER.”
    […]
According to ADL, The tweets have appeared in many foreign languages and various memes across social media and the Internet.

“The Nazi references on social media in response to Germany’s victory are insulting to the German team and demeaning to Holocaust survivors and victims,” said ADL National Director Abraham H. Foxman, a Holocaust survivor himself.

  3. El: You used the word “Nazi” five times. Someone doing social media monitoring would pick that up. But you can see that it doesn’t mean you are pro-Nazi. Although it’s true that “Hitler”, “Nazi” and “Holocaust” get thrown around much too easily.
