What really scares me is the “I know what ISIS really wants” crowd. These folks obviously never did any serious research on ISIS, never interviewed any militants or anybody who’s been in contact with the militants, hell, they don’t even speak Arabic! Yet they are completely convinced that they can read ISIS’s mind and provide interpretation.
This is hubris of such proportions that it borders on schizoid.
Yes, but you can’t tell them anything.
Facts don’t matter.
Not when their “gut” and “truthiness” tell them something else.
To argue with someone who is conservative, is about as useful as discussing Quantum Physics with the fern in your living room.
Actually, the fern may be a better option. At least it won’t scream at you, and call you a f’in idiot!

Great article. These terrorists are a bunch of idiots hopped up on meth who are running around killing and raping because they can. That’s it. Attributing some grand strategy to them arises from a desire for a less complex, more understandable world.
