The Nominee

Everybody knows by now that Trump is the Republican nominee. Would anybody have canceled a debate if Cruz or Kasich refused to show up? Of course, not. A debate at this point only has value if Trump is there.

  1. I don’t know. I want Trump to be the nominee because I think he will get beaten by Clinton easily. But I think there is enough groundswell against him that he won’t hit the magic number of delegates he needs and the Republicans might have a contested convention. If that happens, I think the nod will go to Kasich who will be very competitive nationally. I think Kasich would beat Clinton actually—especially because he could deliver Ohio to the Republicans.

    1. Kasich is the Mayor of Sunnydale (if you’ve seen Buffy . It just seems strange that he’d ever be nominated at a contested convention when Republican primary voters like Cruz better. I haven’t seen any signs on lawns nearby except for Cruz fwiw.

      1. The Republican party elites can’t stand Cruz and are worried about Trump. If the convention is contested, their votes become much more powerful.

      2. I haven’t seen a single sign on a single lawn, period. I only see signs for local elections. And I see a lot of lawns because I walk for hours every day.

I’m guessing this means everybody votes for Hillary around here. Hillary’s supporters are the most bashful of all in this country m

    2. Kasich won a single state and has no hope of winning anything else. If Republicans nominate a fellow who could win nothing but his own home state, thar would be beyond pathetic.
