Yesterday N and I spent a while discussing who’ll use the shower first, he or Klara for
her bath. And then I finally remembered that we have 3 showers in the house.
Like all people who’ve known economic hardship, we tend to occupy one room in the house and use it exclusively.

I’ve done that because I’ve lived in places where the water heater takes a while (20 minutes) to heat and runs out of hot water. I didn’t take showers until my early teens; I took bucket baths.
