Pokemon Go

I just found a moment to Google Pokémon GO. What a fantastic thing! I’m not going to play because it’s +40C and 98% humidity outside but I’m wildly enthusiastic about the game. This is the future of apping and online gaming. People will get off their asses and get outside. This is so great!

  2. I have to admit that even though I don’t play POKEMON GO (I’m familiar with the original games and the manga and the anime), I was very glad to see that it gets people out and about in groups. I saw many of them driving through town recently.

  3. I thought it was great how all of the older generation on my Facebook feed went from beamoning how they spent all of their childhood outdoors, and their mothers hardly knew where they were or what they were up to until dinner time, unlike this current lazy generation, to yelling about how kids are going to die trying to catch Pokemon and that they better not be wandering around trespassing on other people’s property!!!

I think it’s great. My teenager is hovering around the “sullen, antisocial” stage, and she came to my husband’s work event without complaint, because there are different kinds of Pokemon in different areas of town, and she wanted to catch some new ones.

And half my husbands co-workers were playing when we got there 🙂

      • Exactly. :-)) Finally, people are going outside to run around and have fun, and still people are unhappy? Jeez.

  4. My 13 year old son started playing while out with me and yelped “Wow, there’s a Slowpoke there in that house!” The elderly lady just opening her front door gave him a look of incredulous outrage, I fear he’s in danger of getting his backside kicked!
