Turns out Whitney Houston was sexually abused as a child. Of course, I’m sure she stubbed somebody’s toe or was rude to somebody while she was alive, and that’s real victimhood, so forget about the abuse she experienced.

Junot Díaz sexually harrassed students and coerced them into sexual relationships but the fact that he is himself a victim gives him license to pass it on. Especially because he is a talented person.

Coercion is “sleep with me or I’ll fail your dissertation.”
“I slept with him but then he dumped me and never had any interest in my work” is not the definition of coercion I could ever understand.

But it’s true, that kind of drug abuse doesn’t come from joy and happiness. Plus, the marriage with Bobby Brown itself is not a sign of great psychological health.
