What’s especially ironic is that I was signed up for a productivity bootcamp that was to start precisely at the time I have to leave for the surgery.
It’s as if fate were saying, “No productivity for you, lady!”

That’s got to be immensely frustrating for you.
If you’re worried about productivity, once the surgery is done and you are healed, you will be more productive without the pain holding you back.

Good point! I still managed to work on my article when I was in pain but the only reading I could do was 300 pages of a true crime novel.
I’m seriously worried about being bored in the two hours I’ll have to spend at the hospital before surgery. I have a very busy brain that needs nourishment.
