Take Control

The class on political literature I’m taking in Spain is done on Microsoft Teams. There is a button called “Take control” at the top of the screen. I put a lot of effort into not pressing it. I don’t want to teach the class. But I do want to press the button.

  1. If the button is there, it must be pressed.

It’s like my former research advisor’s philosophy: if a door is unlocked, you can go through it (this actually got him and another professor escorted out of a secure lab that shouldn’t have been unlocked).
