If that’s true it’s probably because it makes it boring (what I remember of ‘sex education’ in the schools was that it was incredibly indirect, boring, and in retrospect often hilariously wrong….).
But that was not long after “Everything you ever wanted to know about sex” came out and we all read our parents copies… which was far less boring….

My friend’s brother had a copy of “The Joy of Sex” under his bed, and also was never home. We perused it of course.
These days there’s the internet, so I’m not sure why schools even bother. If parents don’t take that responsibility, there is not a blessed thing schools can do to remedy the situation.
