As usual, N and I have completely different interpretations of what’s going on.
He thinks Prigozhin is acting on direct orders from Putin with the goal of giving Putin an excuse to declare a state of exception.
And I think that Prigozhin got upset and is acting out without much of a plan.

apparently putain (or his double?) gave a speech where he called him a traitor (without ever saying his name…)
part of me still wonders if it’s an elaborate excuse to ‘urgently withdraw’ troops to secure the motherland (supposedly an earlier excuse was being planned around an attack on a nuclear power station in Kursk….).
There’s basically no way a non-pathological personality can know for sure what’s going on, so I keep a bunch of hypotheses open….

No shit, they were about to take away all of his mercenaries and in effect all his power. He had very few options but to do something.
This is pure speculation on my part, but I also get the feeling he is much closer to the Russian soldiers and is better able to see the suffering that this war is causing. This is in contrast with the military big wigs in Moscow who never go to the front lines.
