Central Americans are still at it, as I explained in a recent post on Bukelization which nobody noticed because Russians were being nutso-cray-cray again. Can anybody blame me for abandoning the writing of a book on Central America and switching to one about Ukraine? Central America will be exactly where it is decades from now, so that book will never age. It can totally wait.

It’s titled Сучасна іспанська література для українців. There’s a lot about the nation-state, fluidity, wokeness, the EU, etc. It’s Spanish literature but from the Ukrainian perspective. My dream is to do a series with Сучасна латиноамериканська література для українців and Сучасна північноамериканська література для українців coming next. I think it’s an absolutely genius idea but I don’t know if anybody else will think the same.
The book is 40% done already. Everybody I know thinks I’m a lunatic for writing something unsolicited for a book market I know nothing about.
