Can you guess what these Russian women are doing?

They are expressing their support of Putin.

Why dressed like this? Why in such strange poses? And why only women?

An enormous part of the the pro-war ecstasy in Russia is coming from not-so-young women who dress up and heavily eroticize the whole thing. The word cringe doesn’t begin to describe it.

Another huge part of the support comes from the teenagers. They get together at cool live music dance clubs and chant war slogans.

I don’t know which group is more disturbing to be honest.

    All these women seem middle age and way past their prime.

    You say young people still support Putin, but I doubt that’s a large number of them. The smartest ones have left Russia a long time ago, and the ones that remain are smart enough not to make a fuzz and get thrown in jail.

    I just don’t see young people supporting a 70 year old dictator. I could see some of them supporting a hip dictator wannabe like Bukele, but not an old fart like Putin.

    didn’t you write years ago that a lot of putain’s popularity was with women who fantasize about him as an incarnation of male competence…. something most russian women don’t really have much experience with in their daily lives?

    do you have films of the teens chanting war slogans? I’ve read that Shaman (for example) is a propped up figure that the government pushes on young people who really don’t want to listen to him…

            Galeev hypothesizes that the saturday drama was a bit like a conscious tanquetazo…. a dry run to get info for a future more decisive action…
            moscow is a different issue but whoever was behind it found out that it’s extremely easy to take over large cities and move in toward moscow….
            There was no resistance whatsoever from the population (and almost none from the military….).

              It’s also clear that Russians will worship absolutely any butt in the boss’s seat. Whoever is in charge, they’d adore that individual.

      That’s not what the proposal says. It’s a tendentious retelling in a Tucker Carlson style.

      The proposal is aimed at trying to dissuade Russia from launching a nuclear strike on Europe. If there are alternative plans as to how to achieve them, I’d love to hear them. Biden is sitting vapidly by, as usual.

        Biden hasn’t been in charge since Putin invaded. Someone else has to be calling the shots behind the scenes.
