Deep Focus Activity

Here is a good deep focus activity. In the morning, pour yourself whatever makes you happy at that time of day and step outside (or open the window and look outside). Start imagining the enjoyable points of the coming day. It can be a morning hug from your child, a candy you are going to eat at lunch, a walk you will take in the evening. Imagine these moments in great detail. Try to experience what you will feel, taste, smell.

If you manage to do it and go deep into the images, you have experienced the deep focus. Now the task is to repeat the activity often enough to make deep focus a habit.

  1. I love this series. By the way, I did check out the book on deep work and I have to say I like your version so much more. The author has this single minded focus on productivity which turns me off. In my view, the idea is not just to squeeze the maximum value out of your potential (which he seems obsessed about because jobs of the future yada yada), but that deep work makes it possible for you to have a richer, more emotionally fulfilling inner life.

  2. No justice No faith. Just that simple. Theological constructs which attempt to dictate how man MUST believe in God …. utter drivel bull shit. Israel demands the return of all Oct 7th stolen hostages. Jabber of Cease-Fire or 2 State solutions, equal bull shit as a theological dictate to believe in this or that or some other Gods.
