Vaccines and Open Borders

Our county representatives voted to refuse to abide by our sanctuary state resolutions and refuse the governor’s efforts to send several busloads of illegal migrants our way. The resolution passed with an overwhelming majority.

Of course, the left-wing colleagues are very unhappy.

“These county board bastards!” one fumes. “Anti-vaxxers!”

“Why anti-vaxxers?” I ask mildly.

“Because! I know how they think! Right-wingers! Anti-vaxxers!” the colleague screeches.

“Do you believe those migrants got vaccinated for COVID before crossing the Rio Grande?” I ask even more mildly.

“Well… I mean… That’s not the point, anyway!” the colleague mumbles, all flustered.

  1. This is a definite mental tick I’ve noticed on the left: all bad things are equivalent. So if, for example, racism is bad and nuclear power is bad, then it follows that nuclear power must be racist somehow or other.
